CLEAR LAKE - Florence Doyle, 90, of Clear Lake, died Thursday (March 13, 1986), at a Clear Lake nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1001 9th Ave. S., Clear Lake. The Rev. James Duster will officiate. A private graveside service will be held in Clear Lake cemetery.

Mrs. Doyle was born Feb. 1, 1896, at Rock Falls, Ill., to Peter J. and Ellen A. (Welch) McGuire. She came to Iowa from Illinois in 1912, living in the Belmond area. In 1919, she moved to a farm north of Clear Lake. She married Harry A. Doyle on Sept. 16, 1920, at Clear Lake. They farmed east of Clear Lake until 1964 when they moved into Clear Lake. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic, St. Patrick’s Guild and the Home Improvement Club of Clear Lake.

Visitation will be after 4 this afternoon at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake. A parish wake service will be held at 7 tonight at the funeral home. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Jacobson, Clear Lake, and Mrs. Robert (Harriet) Pedelty III, Mason City; two sisters-in-law, Rita McGuire and Veronica Bisgrove, both of Clear Lake; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
