July 19, 1907 -- December 1, 1966

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, December 6, for Mrs. Bernice Herrick, 59, of Dakota City who died Thursday morning at the home of an aunt, Mrs. Rose Kirchhof of Thor, where she was convalescing from a recent illness. Msgr. J.E. Tolan officiated at the services held in the Lindhart Funeral Home. Burial was in the Union Cemetery. Mrs. Herrick, the former Bernice Koob, was born and educated at Dakota City, graduating from Humboldt High School in 1925. She married T. S. [Thaddeus] Herrick who died in 1948 and made her home in Dakota City. Among the surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert Hudson of Lenore, Idaho, and Miss Mary Herrick, a student at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa; five grandchildren; two brothers: Merrill Koob of Humboldt, and Donald Koob of North Dakota: and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Wright of Humboldt.
