Verna Lee Foster, 67, died peacefully with her family at her side, December 25th, 2014, at Rotary Senior Living, Eagle Grove, where she lived the past year. Funeral services for Verna Foster will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Samuel Lutheran Church, 201 North Lincoln, in Eagle Grove, with Pastor Rich Taylor officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Verna Foster is the daughter of Kenneth and Harriet (Fosnaugh) Foster born September 28th, 1947, in Algona Iowa. She was raised and educated in Eagle Grove area, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1966. Verna lived in Eagle Grove most of her adult life. She cared for her mother while working at Doc Stop and Rotary Senior Living. Her life also revolved around her grandchildren; to her each one was her little pumpkin. While at Rotary she made a lot of new friends while sitting in the chair at the front lobby, it truly was her second home with the care and love she got from every employee there. Verna was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church.

Verna is survived by her sons, Rodney Foster (Anna) of Eagle Grove and Robbie Foster (Carla) of Nevada; daughter, Ronda Sorenson (Troy Kleppe) of Badger; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Harriet Garner of Florida, Thelma Johnson of Spencer and Sue Kamprath (Jim) of Iowa City; brothers, Sam Foster (Judy) of Woolstock and Steve Foster (Marie) of Eagle Grove and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Beverly Blue and Rita Ferguson and two brothers, Kenny and Ronald Foster.
