Services for Alydia Jakobs Streit, 89, Rowan, were held Wednesday, June 12, at the United Presbyterian Church in Dows. The Rev. John W. Mann officiated. Burial was in the Alexander Cemetery. Mrs. Streit died Sunday, June 9, 1991, at the Clarion Care Center. She was born Nov. 14, 1901, at Alexander to Ludwig and Sophia (Dohrmann) Jakobs. On June 13, 1923, she married Mathew J. Streit at her parents' home. They farmed first at Alexander then in 1942 moved to a farm at Rowan. He died in 1971. She lived in Rowan until entering the Clarion Care Center in February 1888. She was a member of the Dows United Presbyterian Church. There are no immediate survivors.
