Randall Crafton, age 59 of Ft. Madison, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 8:20 PM at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 26, 1955 in Belmond, IA to Verle E. and Patricia J. Ketchum Crafton. In January of 2003 he married JoAnn Pihl. Randy was a journeyman welder & fabricator for the Hawkeye Group in Mediapolis, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the Eagles Club where he was the former President and Trustee, he was also a member of the Moose Lodge where he was the treasurer. Randy was very active and volunteered many hours to both clubs. He was also a member of the Isaac Walton League. Randy loved cooking and won several contests in Southeast Iowa. He enjoyed gardening, canning and spending time with his family and friends and cooking for them.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Crafton of Ft. Madison; his son, Matthew Crafton of Ft. Madison; parents, Verle and Patricia Crafton of Rowan, IA; his sister, DeAnn Crafton of Sudbury, Ontario; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, a sister, Barbara and a brother, James. The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 11 AM at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. John Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Montrose Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for Lee County Hospice or the Ft. Madison Eagles Club.
