September 28, 1865 --- July 27, 1931
The community was shocked Monday to learn that Fred Conner had taken his own life by shooting himself through the heart. He had been living in Mason City for the past year or more. He was in very poor health and this is the only known reason why he should seek to end his life. He was a good workman, very proficient at his trade of carpenter. The sympathy of all is extended the bereaved relatives.
