Wanda Lou Johnson Willard, 63, of Eagle Grove, died on Sunday, April, 23, 2006, at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the United Church of Christ in Eagle Grove with the Rev. David McDonald officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in the Ullensvang East Cemetery in Thor.

She is survived by her husband, Archie M. Willard of Eagle Grove, one daughter, Kelli R. Willard West and son-in-law Richard West of DeForest, WI, two grandchildren, Willard and Rachael West, DeForest; one sister, Marjorie Johnson Olsen of Thor, and one brother, Arlo Johnson of Cedar Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lois Johnson Smith and June Johnson Worse.

Wanda Lou Johnson Willard was born October 25, 1942, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Rachel Gertie Johnson. She grew up on the family farm in Thor. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1960. She married Archie M Willard on April 2, 1966. The couple made their home in Eagle Grove. Wanda worked at the Umthun Trucking Co. in Eagle Grove for 21 years and for Security Savings Bank in Eagle Grove for 10 years. Wanda enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, working with computers, traveling, gardening, and reading. She was an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes. The Foust Funeral Home of Eagle Grove was in charge of the arrangements.
