Phillip Curtis Carr
April 8, 1912 - April 7, 1918

Philip Carr was born April 8, 1912,and was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Carr of Monona, Iowa, Philip was never a strong child but but of such a sweet disposition and was loved by all who knew him. Several months ago Philip was stricken with the whooping cough from which he seemed to recover, but on Thursday he became worse causing a hemorrhage, but on Sunday April 7, his little spirit took flight to the world eternal at the very early age of 5 years, 11 months and 39 days. Phillip, now with Jesus, and would not ask him back.Our whole heartened sympathy is with the grief stricken family,

The funeral services were held at Monona, Monona, Iowa, and was largely attended and the beautiful offering told of the deep sympathy of the community. The remains arrived Tuesday, burial was at Vernon cemetery [Renwick]. Mr. and Mrs. Carr and family wish to thank all those who brought floral offerings and who showed kindness during the sickness and death of their brother and son.
