September 6, 1882 --- April 12, 1957

Funeral services for Alvin Cary Beisell were held Tuesday April 16, 1957, at the Lindhart funeral chapel in Humboldt. Mr Beisell passed away Friday, April 12 in Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge where he had been taken earlier in the day for care.

Alvin Cary Beisell, son of Joseph B. and Emma Knieriem Beisell was born on a farm northeast of Renwick Sept. 6, 1882, and passed away April 12, 1957, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 6 days. He received his education in the rural schools of Wright county and had lived for more than 50 years in Rutland. He was taken by ambulance to Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge after suffering a heart attack and passed away a few hours later. Survivors are one brother, Albert Beisell of Seattle, Wash, and one sister, Mrs Ruth Braby of Humboldt. He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Frank O. Johnson, pastor of the Humboldt Methodist Church. Casket bearers were Burton Caryl, Agner Christiansen, Clifton Caryl, Earl Davenport, I. G. Opheim and Elmer Johnson. Organist was Mrs. R. E. Buettell and soloist was Mrs. George Enquist. Floral arrangements were cared for by Mrs. Russel Salmon, Selma Paulson, and Mrs. Roy Entler. Masonic rites were conducted by E. W. Echelberger. Burial was in Union cemetery at Humboldt.
