March 5, 1884 --- November 16, 1942

Edward Enfield, son of Norris and Delilah Enfield, was born in Boone County Iowa, March 5th, 1884 and died in a hospital at Woodward, the age of 58 years, 8 months and 11 days. He came with his parents to Humboldt county when a small lad and settled on a farm in Grove Township, where he grew to manhood until about fifteen years ago when it was necessary to place him in care of the hospital at Woodward. Five years ago he suffered a stroke from which he never fully recovered. The end came unexpectedly since none of the relatives had heard of any serious illness preceding his passing. Their first notice was that of his death, which came to them on Monday morning.

He is survived by one sister and seven brothers: Mrs. Paul Collins, of Waldorf, Minn.; Walter Enfield of Vernon Center, Minn.; John Enfield of Clitheral, Minn.; Clyde Enfield of Clear Lake, Iowa; Arthur Enfield of Ogden, Iowa; Harry Enfield of Hardy, Iowa; Harvey Enfield, of Corwith, Iowa; and Emery Enfield with the armed forces in training in Texas. His father and mother have preceded him in death and also one sister, Mrs. Effie Hettling.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the Lindhart Funeral Home. The officiating minister was Rev. W. L. Breaw of the Methodist church in Humboldt. He was laid to rest in the Union Cemetery near Humboldt.
