Evelyn Lynk, 92, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014, at Scenic Manor, Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Evelyn Lynk will be 10:30 am Saturday, January 11, 2014, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 303 Lee Lane, Iowa Falls, Iowa. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, January 10th at the Linn’s Funeral Home 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls.

Evelyn M. Massow was born March 1, 1921, in Buckeye Township or Hardin County, the daughter of Dora [Vierkandt] and John Massow. She was baptized March 28, 1941, and confirmed April 14, 1935. She attended Central Country School and graduated from Radcliffe High School with the class of 1939. She was united in marriage to Herbert Lynk on January 2, 1943, at Buckeye, Iowa in St. Paul Evangelical the Lutheran Church.

Evelyn worked for J. C. Penney for 28 years retiring in 1983. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Iowa Falls. She and her husband were founding members of the Meadow Hills Golf Club, Iowa Falls and Evelyn was also a former member of the Sunset Trimmer Exercise Class beginning in 1983.

Evelyn Lynk is survived by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Dora Massow; her husband: Herb Lynk; and her sisters and brother-in-laws: Mary and Gayle Harless, and Arlene and Verdis Hinderaker.
