November 16, 1900 --- September 15, 1966

Mrs. Wiert (Grace) Willemssen, 65, died unexpectedly at her home in Kanawha Thursday afternoon, Sept. 15. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Wright County Christian Reformed Church, south of Kanawha. The Rev. Frank Einfeld officiated. Burial was in the Kanawha Cemetery with Carter Funeral Home in charge. Born in Wellsburg Nov. 16, 1900 she was the daughter of Berend and Gertrude Ruter. She was married to Wiert Willemssen in 1922 and had lived in Kanawha since 1925. Surviving are her husband, four brothers, Hammond, Heiko and John Ruter, all of Kanawha; Harold Ruter, Garner; two sisters, Mrs. George (Edith) Roskamp, Belmond; Mrs. Adrian (Bertha) Verbrugge, Kanawha; Two brothers preceded her in death.
