Mrs. Charles Schipull, 71, Died Friday Night, Funeral Held Monday

Mrs. Charles Schipull, 71 died at her home in Renwick last Friday night following several years of failing health. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. C. R. Yeager, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating. Burial was made at Goldfield. She is survived by her husband and eight children, all of whom were here for the funeral which was largely attended by many old friends from this vicinity and nearby towns. Details of her life will be found in the following obituary:

Sadie T. Kelling, daughter of John and Mary Kelling, was born June 10, 1866 and died March 25, 1938 at her home in Renwick at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 15 days. She was born in a log cabin on the Kelling homestead on the Boone river in Wright county. A different house was erected on the farm later and here she lived until her marriage December 23, 1890 to Charles Schipull. To this union five sons and four daughters were born. One daughter died in infancy and the other eight children grew to manhood and womanhood in this vicinity, leaving the parental home for homes and careers of their own. The children are: Rudolph, Carl and John of Goldfield, Albert of Luverne, Mrs. O. T. Carlson of Manson, Walter of Mancos, Colo., Mrs. D. B. Gearhart of Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. A. R. Young of Byron, Ill.

After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Schipull lived on a farm in Norway township until 1901 when they moved to a farm in Liberty township just one mile south of the Kelling homestead. They lived on this farm until they retired in 1923 and moved in their new home in Renwick where they have since resided. Mrs. Schipull has been in failing hearth since 1933 and about two weeks ago her condition became much worse. She has been cared for in her home by her daughters and husband and a nurse until she passed away Friday night, March 25, 1938.

Besides her husband and children, she is survived by twelve grandchildren; one brother, George Kelling of Goldfield; two sisters, Mrs. August Hoffman of Renwick and Mrs. Kate Wilcox of Los Angeles, Calif, a number of other relatives and a wide circle of friends.
