Eleanor J. Edge Yahne, 94, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014. She was the former Eleanor J. Edge, born in Belmond, IA to the late Joseph H. and Mary E. Mackey Edge. A former school teacher and Girl Scout Leader, she was an active member of PEO Chapter E in Louisville, and a member of the DAR. A loving mother and devoted wife, she is survived by her husband of 70 years, Verne M. Yahne; sons, Paul A. Yahne (Jyll) and David V. Yahne (Rosemary); daughter, Deborah Jo Fontaine (Don); as well as seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Her funeral service and visitation will be private for the family. Burial will follow her service in Resthaven Memorial Park, Louisville, Kentucky. Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. Donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
