Funeral services for Adrianna M. Nissen, 82, Renwick, were held Monday, Nov. 6, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Renwick, with burial in the Amsterdam Township Cemetery at Kanawha. She died Thursday, Nov. 2., 1995. The Garry - Roberts - Murphy - Schaaf Funeral Home of Renwick was in charge of the arrangements, with the Rev. John Massy officiating.

Adrianna Marie Nissen was born Jan. 11, 1913, in Kanawha, where she was reared and educated, graduating from Kanawha High School. She was employed as a clerk in the drug store and grocery store there. In 1935, she married Maurice Nissen and they farmed north of Renwick until 1980, when thy retired and moved into town. The Nissen's were parade marshals for the 1992 Boone Valley Homecoming parade. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Renwick; was a Sunday School teacher and active in Ladies Aide, Bible study groups and quilting. She was also a member of the Literary Guild, a 4-H leader, and president of the Senior Citizens.
