Linda Sue (Thornton) Huling, 74, formerly of Belmond, IA, died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at Hospice of North Muse Norris of Mason City. A memorial service will be held 1:00 – 3:00 PM Saturday (October 25, 2014), at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd Street North East, Mason City, IA with burial at a later date. Memorial can be made out to the family of Linda Huling and the memorials will be directed to the local EMS services.

Linda was born July 30, 1940, the daughter of Grover and Gladys (Vernon) Thornton. After graduating from Britt High School, she earned her LPN license in Alabama. Linda was a dedicated mother of four children. She enjoyed watching football and was an Avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, she also enjoyed sewing, singing, “Southern” cooking, playing cards and socializing with her special friends at Three Links Apartments. Linda was also very proud of her kids and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children; Mike Huling of Belmond, IA.; Mark (Missy) Huling of Garner, IA.; Murray (Young) Huling of Lorton, VA.; Melanie (Kevin) Bistline of Grafton, IA.; ten Grandchildren; Clint Huling, Kyle (Michelle) Huling, Nicole Huling, Tyson (Laura) Huling, Mataya Huling, Lauren (Ryan) Edrington, Drake (Emillie) Ebeling, Evan Ebeling, Chloe Bistline and Trystan Bistline; two Great-Grandchildren; Logan Huling and Conner Huling; one sister Peggy Jones as well as many nieces, nephews; other extended family members and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Kendall Thornton and Grover Roy Thornton.
