Myrtle May Lockman, 91, dies at Belmond

Myrtle May Lockman, 91, died June 17 the Belmond Hospital at Belmond, Iowa. Mrs, Lockman was born January 21, 1888 at Doniphan, Nebraska. Her father was Price Gideon and her mother Emma Bell Bivin. On November 25, 1913 she married Elmer "Pete" Lockman, and the couple farmed for many years in the Moravia area. She was preceded to death by her parents, her husband, who died on February 2nd of last year, her two brothers, Walter and Roy Gideon, twin sons who died in infancy, a son, Glenn, and a grandson, Jerry. Survivors include one son, Lloyd, of Rowan, Iowa, three grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 20, at 1:30 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Dobbins officiating. Interment was at Hillcrest Cemetery.
