Glenn Eugene Bruhl, the son of Cecil Paul and Lendie (Jergenson) Bruhl, was born March 17, 1926, on the family farm in Dayton Township, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Clarion High School in 1944. On February 27, 1946, Glenn was united in marriage with Georgiana Loux in the Chapel of the United Methodist Church in Clarion. The couple made their home and farmed in the Klemme area for 11 years and moved to Wright County in 1961. Glenn retired from raising livestock and farming in 1995.

Glenn passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014, at the Stratford Nursing and Rehab Center, at the age of 88 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Merle and Leo Bruhl; sister-in-law, Isabelle Bruhl Martin and brother-in-law, Russell Hart. Richard is survived by his wife, Georgiana Bruhl of Eagle Grove; four children: Elwyn Bruhl and wife Mary of Twin Lakes, Diana Thompson and husband Roger of Eagle Grove, Cecil Bruhl and wife Sheila of Eagle Grove and John Bruhl of Eagle Grove/Tok, Alaska; six grandchildren: Bradley, Beth, Angela, Janine, Nathan and Anthony; 12 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Virgil Hart of Mason City and Connie Salyer of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2014, at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove, with Pastor Heather Dorr and Jerry Newswander officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial in French Church Cemetery, Woolstock. The family would like memorials to be given to a charity of your choice.
