Funeral services for Mrs. Fern Krumrei were held at the United Church of Christ in Isabel, South Dakota on Monday, 26 Jan 1976. Burial followed at Hillview Cemetery in Isabel. She died 23 Jan 1976 in Lemmon, South Dakota at the age of 78.

Fern Frances Oberton was born 5 Dec 1897 in Rowan, Iowa, the daughter of William and Eliza Oberton. She married Frederick William Krumrei in Dupree, South Dakota on 16 May 1918. After their marriage they moved to Isabel, where they made their home and raised their family. Mr. Krumrei died in 1934. At the time of her death she was survived by a son, Harold; a daughter, Sylvia (Mrs. Charles F.) Pogany; two brothers, three grandchildren, and seven grandchildren.
