Ricky James Raner, the son of Larry Peterson and Patricia Smith, was born March 26, 1961, in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove, graduating in the Class of 1980. Rick worked as a CNA and Activities Director at Rotary Senior Living for 30 years. He was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church. Rick passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014, at the age of 53 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eldon and Lois Smith; father, Larry Peterson and brother, Bradley Mosher. Survivors include his mother, Pat Mosher of Eagle Grove; brother, David Mosher and wife Michelle of St. Joseph, MO; niece, Lexie Mosher; nephew, Zach Mosher and uncle, Tom Smith and wife Dorothy of Webster City. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
