Violet M. Ball, 72, 700 S. 17th, died Wednesday at Trinity Regional Hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bruce Funeral Home. Burial will be in the McGuire Bend Cemetery in Lehigh. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include her sons, Willard H. Ball Jr., La Puente, Calif., and Donald Ball, Fort Dodge; daughters, Pat Hiracheta, Moorland, Florence Hagge, Fort Dodge, Nancy Crandall, Fort Dodge, Donna Ball, Somers; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; Brother, Richard Wood, Fort Dodge; sister, Gladys Campidilli, Pocahontas. Violet Wood was born at Danbury in 1916 and educated in the Lehigh school system. She married Willard Ball in 1936 in Missouri. She worked at Brownie's Cafe in Fort Dodge, retiring in 1981. The couple spent most of their life in the Webster County area. Her husband died in 1984. She was a member of the Otho Senior Citizens.
