Marjorie E. "Tudy" Cobb, 85, of Fort Dodge, residing in Algona, died Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. A service honoring Marjorie's life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove. The family will greet friends from1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.

Tudy is survived by her husband Robert Cobb; her children, Victoria (Steven) Gerhart, Bill (Lorraine) Cobb, Scott (Gloria) Cobb and Mitch Cobb; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and her sister Bertha Heim. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and a brother.

Marjorie Ellen "Tudy" Bailey, the daughter of Chester Raymond and Elma (Paulson) Bailey, was born May 29, 1929, in Marshalltown, Iowa. She moved to Eagle Grove and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1947. On June 6, 1948, Marjorie was united in marriage to Robert Cobb in Fort Dodge. The couple lived in Fort Dodge from 1948 to 1984. They moved to Muscatine and lived there until returning to Fort Dodge in 1990. Tudy attended Iowa Central Community College and worked at the YWCA in Fort Dodge and Muscatine.

Tudy was a member of Rolling Hills Community Church, past member of the Rebekkah Lodge, past president of the Highland Park PTA and past vice president of the Butler PTA. She will be remembered for her generosity towards others and her willingness to help however she could. Tudy was an avid reader and she treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
