December 29, 1947 --- June 22, 1992

Julia M. Cormack, 44, of 245 Ave. N West, died Monday, June 22, 1992, at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames, following a lengthy illness. Services were held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Riverside United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Morrison and the Rev. James Lusher officiating. Burial was in North Lawn Cemetery. Gunderson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Jim; sons, Michael, Mankato, Minn., and Joseph, Fort Dodge; mother, Joyce Kraft, Eagle Grove; sister, Vicki
Balsey, Eagle Grove; brothers, William Kraft, Everett Kraft and Dale Kraft, all of Renwick. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Kraft,
and sister, Joyce Meyer, of Florida.

Julia M Kraft was born Dec. 29, 1947 at Clarion. She grew up in Renwick before moving to Eagle Grove with her family when she was 8 years old. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School and with the second nursing class to graduate from the Iowa Central Community College nursing program. She was a registered nurse at Trinity Regional Hospital for more than 20 years. She married Jim Cormack in 1969 in Fort Dodge. Cormack was a former member of the Fort Dodge Community School Board, where she served as president for one year. She was also active in the Hawley School PTA, was a former city PTA president, a former 4-H leader, and former co-chair for Webster County Republicans. She was a member of the "Make Today Count" support group and was a board member for the Fort Dodge Urban Ministry.
