FUNERAL RITES FOR MISS ELIASON HELD WEDNESDAY

Miss Lena K. Eliason of Kanawha died Sunday, Feb. 16, and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Dick Grifhorst home and at the Lutheran church at Kanawha with the Rev. J. O. Reitan and the Rev. Tjor Sigmund of Kensett, Iowa, in charge.

Miss Eliason was born in Sweden in 1857 and came to Mason City, Iowa, fifty two years ago. Fifty years ago she and her parents and her sister, Anna, and brothers, Nels and Andrew, settled in Twin Lake township, Hancock county. When Kanawha became a town the Eliason sisters built a home there in which they resided until a few years ago when they moved to Mason City and from there they moved to Kensett. A short time ago they moved back to Kanawha. Deceased is mourned by her brother, Nels, and sister, Anna, and a number of nephews and nieces. Burial was made at the West Lake cemetery.
