Final rites held, Mon.; Frank Trca

The final rites for Frank J. Trca, 82, were held Monday, Jan. 18, from the Bohn Funeral Home, Garner, with the Rev. Wallace A. Stark officiating. The Rev. Stark is minister of the United Methodist church. The services were held at 2 p.m.

Mr. Trca died Thursday; Jan. 14, at the Concord Manor Nursing Home, where he had lived for about the last two years. At the time of his death he had attained the age of 82 years, 3 months, and 4 days. The Rev. Stark used as his text John 3:16, with the meditation, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Comfort in music was supplied by the hymns; "The Lord's Prayer," and, "How Great Thou Art." The pallbearers were; Royal Molander, Leo V. Brown, Orian Paulsen, Chris Thomsen, James A. Gatchel, and Henry Heddens. Mr. Trca was laid to rest in the Memorial cemetery at Mason City. Masonic rites were performed on Sunday, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Bohn Funeral Home.

Mr. Trca farmed in the Duncan community for a number of years, and upon retiring moved to a home in the west part of Garner, where he lived until entering the Concord Manor Nursing Home two years ago.

Mr. Trca was born October 10, 1888, at Belmond, the son of James and Josephine (Prokopec) Trca. The family moved to a farm near Duncan when Frank was a child and he lived there until his retirement in 1936. He was married to Albina (Abbey) Vrba, in the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church on January 28, 1913. She preceded him in death in 1961. Mr. and Mrs. Trca raised a foster child. Lester Daniels.

Survivors include their foster son, Lester Daniels and several nieces and nephews and two cousins, Mrs. James Nedved, St. Paul, Minnesota; Frank Nemetz, Pelham, News York; Lenard Riha, Crisco; Donald Nedved, St. Paul, Minn.; Jerry Nemetz, Lynchburgh, Virginia; Lillian Nemetz, Palm Beach, Florida; John Vrba, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mildred Dull, Forest City; Mrs. Frank Drabek, Duncan and Joe Marik, Chicago Illinois.
