Evelyn A. Finley - Dallas Center, formerly of Johnston

Evelyn Finley, 92, passed away July 29, 2014, at Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center. Evelyn was born on November 18, 1921, in Hawarden, Iowa. She moved to Eagle Grove, Iowa where she graduated from Eagle Grove High School. Evelyn lived in California and Colorado, and eventually returned to Iowa to raise her family. She loved to travel and visited many countries over the years. Evelyn was an avid reader and a lifelong learner. Evelyn, the wife of the late LTC Harley J. Finley, is survived by her children, Jack (Cindy), Bob (Joni), and Janet (Tom Burkhead); 5 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

Per Evelyn's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and memorial services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Gold Star Museum, 7105 Northwest 70th Avenue, Johnston, IA 50131.
