Richard James Loux, the son of Celestin J. and Maude M. (Legge) Loux, was born September 22, 1936, on the family farm east of Eagle Grove, Iowa. He was baptized at the French Church in Woolstock and was confirmed at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove. Richard was raised and educated in the area of his birth – attending Dayton Township #7 and Clarion schools. On January 28, 1955, Richard married Patricia J. Boyle and they had four children. They were divorced in 1990. Richard was a lifelong farmer and also worked for Erickson Manufacturing as a welder, for Bishop Implement, Geis Concrete, tiled for E & E and helped many other farmers over the years.

Richard passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the age of 77 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Mary; granddaughter, Amy Johnson; daughter, Rozanne Berry/Polson; brother, Celestin and sister, Bertha Kurfman (Richard). Richard is survived by his children: Dora Willard (Denny Dixon) of Eagle Grove, Gil Loux and wife Diane of Goldfield and Terry Loux (Teresa Beisell) of Eagle Grove; 13 grandchildren: Wendy, Bridget, Brandon, Michael, Angie, Anita, Anthony, Andrew, Alisha, Tioni, Ashley, Brittany and Austin; 34 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; sister, Georgiana Bruhl and husband Glenn of Eagle Grove; sister-in-law, Sheila Young of Eagle Grove and numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at French Church Cemetery in Woolstock. Visitation will be Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
