Conduct Service for W. D. Smith, Former Eagle Grove Resident

EAGLE GROVE — Wyatt DeVere Smith, former resident of this city, died at Oakland, Cal., Sunday, March 14 following a brief illness. The body was brought to Eagle Grove and funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wilson chapel, in charge of the Rev. L. M. Wilkinson of the Congregational church. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.

Wyatt Smith Dies in California; Will Be Buried at Eagle Grove

EAGLE GROVE — Joe C. Smith has received word of the death of his son, Wyatt at Oakland, Cal. following an operation. The body is to be shipped to Eagle Grove for burial. Services will be held Thursday or Friday. Formerly a resident of Eagle Grove, he had lived in California for the past eight years.
