Earlene Haagensen, 88, of Canby, Oregon died May 14, 2014. She was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Minerva, Iowa, to Alfred and Norva Finn. She graduated high school in Belmond, Iowa. On Feb. 2, 1946, she married Robert Haagensen in Butte, Montana. They met during World War II in Vancouver, Wash., when she worked in the shipyards. They lived 60 years in California and she moved to Countryside Living in Canby in 2008. She was an American Legion Auxiliary member for 61 years, serving in California as unit and area president. She was also active in the Elkettes and the Moose Lodge. Survivors include her daughter Drinda Larson, of Canby, and one grandson. Her husband and son, Robert, preceded her in death. No service will held. Burial will be at Rockville Cemetery in Fairfield, Calif.
