Carol O. Massoglia, age 75, passed away Friday April 18, 2014 at the University Of Arizona Medical Center after a short illness. A memorial service will be held on Carol's birthday at 10:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Rev. David Grindberg officiating and everyone is welcome to attend the luncheon after the service. A time of gathering for family and friends will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church. Carol's final resting place will be in the Colfax Township Cemetery, rural Vincent next to her son Alan. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Carol Rossow was born on May 17, 1938 in Vincent, Iowa to Hugo and Viola Rossow. She was one of nine children. Carol raised her three sons close to her family in Fort Dodge, Iowa where she loved bowling at The Rose Bowl. Carol moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1982 and met Jim Massoglia while they were managers at Circle K. They married in 1987 at Old Tucson Studios. Carol was known for making the fudge that everyone loved. In her retirement, you could find Carol playing bingo with her friends every Monday night.

She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, and a son, Alan Wilshusen. She is survived by her husband, Jim Massoglia of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Marlys Smith of Fort Dodge and Phyllis Preast of Silvery City, NM; two sons, Kevin and Jeff Wilshusen of Joplin, MO; two step-daughters, Suzanne Lyon of San Jose, CA and Teresa Johnson of Tucson, AZ; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
