MRS. MOINE YANNEY DIES; FUNERAL FRIDAY, JAN. 12

Mrs. Moine Yanney died Tuesday night, January 9, 1968 at her home in Eagle Grove.  She had been in failing health the past four years. Funeral services for Mrs. Yanney will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church, Eagle Grove with Rev. Bernard G. Olson officiating, and burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Renwick. Survivors include her husband, a daughter, two sons, and six grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Joe Oddie, Desert Hot Springs, Calif. also survives.

Mrs. Moine Yanney, 71, died Wednesday night at her home in Eagle Grove. She had been in failing health for four years. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Friday at First Methodist church in Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Bernard G. Olson officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery at Renwick, with Sandvig's Funeral Home in charge. Survivors are her husband; two sons, Harold and Earl, both of Renwick; a daughter, Mrs. Forrest Montgomery, Lime Springs; six grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Joe Oddie, Desert Hot Springs, Calif.

Mrs. Yanney, the former Alice Merson, was born at Renwick and attended the local schools. She graduated from Des Molnes college and taught schools at Tracy and the Vernon Township consolidated School north of Renwick. In 1917 she married Moine Yanney at Renwick, where the couple farmed until retirement to Eagle Grove in 1957. Mrs. Yanney was a member of the First Methodist Church, a charter member of Gertrude Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Boone Township Women's Club, Rebekah Lodge of Eagle Grove and White Shrine of Eagle Grove.
