Douglas K. Schultz, 52, Eagle Grove
Douglas Kent Schultz, the son of Gerald and Patricia (Conaway) Schultz, was born June 2, 1960, in Clarion, Iowa. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove. Doug was united in marriage with Candy Hanus on July 23, 1980 and they had four children, Christina, Cory, Daniel, and Megan. They later were divorced in 1997. Doug worked for B & E Construction of Eagle Grove and Pyramid Siding in Lakeville, Minn. where he lived from 1998 to 2003.

Doug was an avid sports and race fan-especially Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed listening to Classic Rock. He enjoyed time with his family and most of all his grandchildren.

Doug died on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the age of 52 years. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and daughter, Megan. Survivors include his children: Christina Anderson (Tim), of Humboldt, Cory Schultz (Cassie) of Eagle Grove, and Daniel Schultz also of Eagle Grove; seven grandchildren - Caelyn, Caleb, Laney and Libby Anderson, and Call, Cayden. and Chloe Schultz; parents, Jerry and Pat Schultz of Eagle Grove, sisters Bobbie Vinton (Scott) of Jenison, Mich., Ronda Barger (Gary) of Savage, Minn., and Becky Schultz of Lakeville, Minn., brother, Denny Schultz (Missy) of Goldfield, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, July 3, at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jason Cooper officiating. Foust Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
