MRS S. A. PACKARD RITES ARE HELD IN OGALLALA

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Ogallala on Monday afternoon for Mrs. S. A. Packard of Keystone, Rev. J. A. Campell of Keystone officiating. Mrs August Hahn and Homer Davis sang, accompanied by Mrs. Hahn's daughter at the piano. the pallbearers were D. Cole, Carl Barnt, L. Silasen, Wm. Mannon, Ed Knight and J. Jeppesen. Interment in the Ogallala Cemetery. C Arrowsmith the Funeral Director.

Sara Adella Smith was born in Milwaukee, Wisc. 13 Sep 1856, and departed this life at Ogallala, NE 21 Jul 1934 at 8 p.m. being 77 years, 10 months old. She was the daughter of Jason and Sophia Smith. On July 27th 1879 she was united in marriage to George Franklin Packard of Wesley Iowa, going at once to the farm at Luni near what is now Renwick Iowa. To this union were born eight children, Mrs. Marion Harleman of Crookston, Minn, Mrs. Eunice Murray of Portland, Oregon, Ernest C. of Minneapolis, Minn, Jess L. of Preston, Idaho, George Clinton of Keystone Nebraska, Leon D. of ,Colo. Howard A. of Nampa, Idaho and Sherman A. of Tolson Ill. all of whom survive their mother. Her husband died in the year of 1909. For the last 17 years Mrs. Packard made her home in Keystone, Nebr.
