November 8, 1945 --- March 30, 2014

Wallace "Wally" Karl Klooster, of Webster City, died Sunday March 30, 2014 at the Trinity Regional Medical Center in Ft. Dodge, Iowa. His funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3 at 10:30 AM at the Boman Funeral Home in Webster City, Pastor Terry Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 - 7 PM at the funeral home.

Wally was born on November 8, 1945 in Swea City, Iowa to John A. and Ethel (Julius) Klooster. He went to school in Ledyard, Iowa, until the family moved to Goodell where they farmed. Wally was married to Constance “Connie” Sue Soma on July 12, 1964 in Belmond, Iowa. He was employed by Martin Farms and helped Dean Keller in the spring & fall, He also farmed for Eldon Hinderks. Wally was then employed for Van Diest Supply for 40 years. Wally did retire at age 65, but just could not stay off the farm.

He would help any farmer in any way at any time. He loved every aspect of farming, going to farm shows, seeing new equipment and working the land. For Wally family was always first, especially the grandkids. Because Wally loved the Lord, he always put others needs before his own.

His family includes his wife of 49 years; son Craig (Joyce) of Lincoln, NE; daughter Brenda Boughton of Humboldt, IA; six grandchildren Joshua (fiancée Leah) Klooster of Kansas City, MO, Jacob Klooster, Brieanna (Bryan) Greenough, Garrett Klooster, and Braelyn Klooster all of Lincoln, NE, Bethany Klooster of Fort Dodge and Travis Boughton of Humboldt, Iowa; brothers Ed Barkela of Mason City, Iowa, Joe Barkela of California, DeWayne Barkela of Arizona, Alfred Klooster of Mason City, IA, and Ray Klooster of Clinton, IA; sisters Donna Grimsley of Fort Dodge, IA, and Sharon Lovstad of Burt, IA. & several nieces & nephews. Wally was preceded in death by his parents; Son Scott; son-in-law Mike; granddaughter Brittany; brother Dean; and brother-in-law Gene.
