April 10, 1904 --- July 21, 1985

Don J. Pybus, 81, Wenatchee, died Sunday in a British Columbia Nursing Home. Born at Corwith, Iowa, April 10, 1904, he moved with his family to Washington in 1907 and came to Wenatchee in 1911. He attended grade school and high school in Wenatchee and after two years at Willamette University, joined his father in business in Wenatchee. On September 8, 1929, he married Alice McMaster, who preceded him death in 1977. In 1946, with his father, he incorporated E. T. Pybus Co. and in 1956, with Clem Jordan and Bill deGrasse, formed and incorporated Pybus Steel Co. He was president and manager of both E. T. Pybus Company and Pybus Steel Company when he sold it and retired in 1964. On August 18, 1980, he married Anna Krebs of Jenkintown, PA.

Mr. Pybus was a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Wenatchee, as well as a member and past president of the Wenatchee rotary Club which he joined in 1929. He also served as past president of the Washington State Automotive Wholesalers Association; past board member of the Evergreen Warehouse Distributing Co in Seattle; past member of the city airport board; past member of the Wenatchee Chamber of Commerce Board; and director of Columbia Federal Savings and Loan since 1958.

Survivors include his wife at home; one daughter Linda Barnhart, Wenatchee; one sister Helen Jordan, Bellevue, (WA); two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Private Family services have been held.
