Funeral services for Margaret E. Isenberg will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Faith United Methodist Church in Spring Valley. Burial will be at Spring Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Hindt Funeral Home of Spring Valley. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Margaret E. Isenberg died Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Spring Valley Care Center. She was born Margaret Elizabeth Thompson, daughter of Elmer and Mary Jane (Adams) Thompson, in Goldfield, Iowa, on Nov. 22, 1926. On Aug. 30, 1947, Margaret married Kenneth Isenberg in Mankato. Margaret worked in the family business, Isenberg Equipment. Margaret was a very nurturing person, who always saw the good in people. She was happy to help others in any way that she could. She enjoyed spending her time socializing with family and friends, sewing and traveling. She especially loved visiting her grandchildren, and hearing about their lives.

She is survived by her children, Lois (Vernon) Wells of Carthage, Mo., Wayne (JoEllen) Isenberg of Spring Valley and Joan (James) Jacobs of Woodbury; grandchildren, Rusty Wells, Matthew (Tiffany) Isenberg, Laura (Michael) Kycek, Katie Isenberg and Andrew, Eric and Hannah Jacobs; great-grandsons, Kelyn, Jackson, Leighton, Andrew and Benjamin; and her sisters-in-law, Genevieve Jacobson, Shirley (Chuck) Supplee and Kay Isenberg. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, Kenneth in 1988, and sister, Mildred Borel.
