Christine Leone Magney, 102, of Brainerd, died Monday, March 17, 2014, at Good Samaritan Village-Woodland. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Seventh-day Adventist Church in Brainerd with Pastor Jeff Scoggins officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery near Big Lake later this spring.

Christine was born May 5, 1911, in Dows, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Ingrid (Matre) Jones. After school, she married Harry Magney in 1935. Christine loved her Lord and will fondly be remembered and dearly missed. She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Finden, of Buffalo; sister, Verna Marie Jones, of Bloomington; 14 grandchildren; and many, many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; sons, Dean and Carol Magney; four brothers; and two sisters. Brenny Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services
