Agnes Stevick died Sunday, July 9, 1972 in Converse County Memorial Hospital, Douglas, Wyoming of cancer, for which she had doctored for years with the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. Agnes Isadore Harvey was born near Goldfield, Iowa on the first of March, 1895, the daughter of Karen Harvey and Narvey Harvey. She attended country schools in the Goldfield vicinity. She attended High School in Goldfield, graduating with the class of 1913. She attended Drake University and the Palmer School of Penmanship. She taught in Ames, Iowa and Vermillion, S.D. She took a position of Penmanship Supervisor in the Casper and Midwest school systems in the fall of 1924 which she held until June, 1932, at which time she married Harry H. Stevick, the son of Henry and Matilda Stevick, pioneer Casper residents. Before going to World War I, Harry Stevick had a homestead in the extreme northern part of Converse County. Upon his return from the war, Agnes Harvey filed on a homestead nearby, and they built up the Antelope Creek Ranch, raising purebred Hereford cattle. A son, Baby Boy Stevick, was born to this union and passed away at birth in 1933. A daughter, Agnes Matilda Stevick was born in 1934 in Casper. She is presently Mrs. Hugh Maller of Lost Cabin, where they operate the major portion of the old J. B. Okie ranch. In addition to her husband, Harry H. Stevick and the daughter, Mrs. Stevick is survived by a grandson, Steve Wuthier of Lost Cabin, and the Maller family, consisting of Hugh, Gloria, Scott and Jane; three sisters, Mrs. Magne Bjorklund, Goldfield, Iowa; Alma McConeghey of Knoxville, Iowa; and Mrs. George F. Sprague III of Forest Hill, Maryland; two brothers, Edwin Harvey of Vandalia, Missouri and Herman Harvey of Goldfield, Iowa.
