Arlene Frances Kaldenberg, 91, of Denver, passed away August 9, 2013 at her home. She was born September 20, 1921 in Meservey, IA to John and Tena (Ostendorf) Schmidt and attended schools in Iowa. She designed kitchens for several years and enjoyed woodworking, cooking and sewing. Arlene is survived by her children, Bruce John (Jean) Kaldenberg of Castle Rock and Claudia (Vern) Schraut of Denver; sisters, Frances Groen of Des Moines, IA; one grandchild and one great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Kaldenberg in 1954; brother, Ralph and two sisters, Esther and Lorraine. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at 10:00am at Christ Congregational Church, 2500 S. Sheridan Blvd. in Denver. Tabor-Rice Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
