EAGLE GROVE - Everett W. Roberts, 89, of Eagle Grove, formerly of Humboldt, passed away March 12, 2014 in Dublin, GA. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery at Eagle Grove with full Military Rites by the Sathers-Odgaard VFW Post 5240 and Adams American Legion Post 119. Visitation is from 5-7 p.m. Sunday (today) at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his daughter, Marla (Tom) Christopher of Clear Lake; sons, Marvin (Janice) Roberts of Macon, GA, and Kevin (Tina) Roberts of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.

Everett Wayne Roberts, the son of Virgil and Orpha (Hildreth) Roberts, was born May 25, 1924 at West Bend, Iowa and was raised and educated in the Rolfe area. He enlisted into the US Navy and served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. On July 6, 1947, he married Maxine Smith and couple made their home in Humboldt. In 1989, the couple moved to Eagle Grove. Mrs. Roberts passed away in 1998. Everett was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Eagle Grove and was a life member of the VFW and American Legion.
