Irene E. Franson, 77, Seattle, formerly Lincoln, [Nebraska] widow of Frank, died Jan. 12, 2002. Born, Fenton, Iowa, to Bertel G. and Blanche (Olsen) Berkeland. Member, Lakeview Free Methodist Church, Seattle. Past matron, Electra Chapter OES. Past president, Social Order of the Beauceant Ameranth. Survivors: daughter, Linda Woodard, Denver; sons, James P., Bruce R. both Lincoln; sisters Doris Kienholz, Mount Vernon, Wash., Iola Kalvig, Des Moines, Iowa; brothers, Robert Berkeland, St. Paul, Minn., Harold Berkeland, Fairmont, Minn., Marvyn Berkeland, Burlington, Wash.; eight grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday, Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th St. Private inurnment, Lincoln Memorial Park.
