Clifford M. Stack, 59, of Fremont died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2001, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was born July 9, 1942, in Fremont. He grew up in Fremont and was a graduate of Fremont High School. He worked in law enforcement with the Fremont Police Department and the Dodge County Sheriff's Department. He then worked in the construction trade. He lived in Iowa for 11 years and was a truck driver for Umthun Trucking Co. in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He retired in 1992.

Survivors include: two sons, Duane L. (and wife, Stacey) Stack of Fremont and Reece R. (and wife, Monica) Stack of Clarinda, Iowa; a daughter, Lori (Mrs. Craig) Guffey of Omaha; a stepson, Tim Matya of Fremont; three sisters, Donna J. (Mrs. Al) Fuhrman, Mardelle (Mrs. Joe) LoGrande and Lorraine (Mrs. Bob) Reh, all of Fremont; five grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, a great-grandchild and his companion, Dorothy Tibbs of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
