Lilyenberg [Liljenberg] Rites Are Conducted at Britt Chapel

Klemme - Funeral services for Benjamin Lilyenberg, 60, were conducted Tuesday at the Osman Chapel at Britt. Burial was in Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme. The Rev. Melvin Miller officiated. He became ill in December and entered the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines where he remained a patient until his death Friday morning. Mr. Lilyenberg was born in Thompson on Aug 30, 1896, where he spent his early life and attended school. He entered the service in 1917 and served overseas in World War I. Mr. Lilyenberg was a plasterer. Surviving are two sisters, Julia Bianchi, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Clarence Wold, Jewell. He was preceded in death by a sister, Annie.
