Estherville, IA – Services for Mrs. Peter (Josephine) Geil, 84, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Estherville Lutheran Church with interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Stanley Eyberg will officiate. She died Friday [February 19, 1982] evening at the Good Samaritan Center. Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral home after 3 p.m. Monday.

She was born June 24, 1897 at Eagle Grove the daughter of John and Bertha Hansen. She attended Graettinger Schools and Estherville Commercial College. On Aug. 22, 1918 she was married to Peter H. Geil at Graettinger where the couple continued to live until moving to Estherville. Mr. Geil died July 29, 1980. Mrs. Geil was a member of the Estherville Lutheran Church.

Survivors include one brother, Chester Hansen, Oceanside, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Earl (Lenora) Hornby, Estherville; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; her parents; four brothers and four sisters.
