Services to Be at Corwith Saturday

Mrs. Mattie E. Beers, 86, of 712 Madison N. W., died at a local hospital Wednesday afternoon, following a short illness. She had been a resident of Mason City for the past 3 years, having come here from Corwith, where she resided 40 years. Mrs. Beers was born in Ogle county, Illinois, June 19, 1863. She was preceded in death by her husband in March, 1930. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Beth Scace, 712 Madison N. W., and her son Burdette W. Beers, Garner, and 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Corwith, with Doctor Paul A. Peterson, pastor of the Wesley Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be at the Corwith cemetery.
