Ronald C. Fuller, age 84, of Popejoy passed away Sunday December 29, 2013 at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Memorial services for Ronald C. Fuller will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 2, 2014 at the First Lutheran Church in Dows. Inurnment will be in the North Lawn Cemetery south of Iowa Falls at a later date. Friends may greet the family from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the church. Dugger Funeral Home, 100 North Lee Street in Dows is in charge of arrangements.

Ronald Clark, the son of Stephen Glen and Florence Ellen Stout Fuller was born November 18, 1929 at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Ron grew up in Waterloo where he attended school. Ron’s family moved, while he was in school and he graduated from Maynard High School in 1947. After high school, Ron started farming with his father and the family moved again to Popejoy. Ronald was united in marriage to Velma Christensen on September 5, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. The couple farmed near Popejoy until ill-health prevented Ron. He then worked in retail, and at the Alden Schools in Popejoy. Ron attended Ellsworth College, where he received a Associates Degree in Business. Ron and Velma opened a fertilizer business in Popejoy. Together they operated it for twenty years. Ron enjoyed restoring old tractors, fishing and planting trees. He loved Hackberry trees and John Deere tractors. He served on the Popejoy city council. He was a member of the Elks Lodge of Iowa Falls and Popejoy Lions. Ron was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Dows.

Ron is survived by his wife, Velma, children, Sherry Sanders and husband, Randy, of Bradford, Brian and wife, Tammy of Armstrong, Fletcher and wife, Veronica of Alburquerque, NM, ten grandchildren, Cory, Chase, Lacy, Joshua, Shaun, Joey, Carys, Jordan, Alondra, Alexia, seven great grandchildren, Brooke, Riley, Rafe, Madison, Trenton, Dylan, Quinn, and a sister, Beverly Peterson and husband, Merle of Alden. He is a preceded in death by his parents, three sisters-in-law, and four brothers-in-law.
