Ilo P. Frakes, 81, of Webster City, died Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, with Rev. Chad Halbach officiating. Burial will be in Cass Township Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 12:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday.

Ilo Patrick Frakes, son of John Byron and Edith Fern (Gramblin) Frakes, was born on June 7, 1931 in Hamilton County. He received his education in Hamilton County rural schools. He married Norma Jean Segar on June 4, 1949 in Hamilton County. He worked for Hamilton County in secondary road maintenance. He was also the owner of Frakes Disposal and Ilo's Lawn Service. Ilo is survived by his wife, Norma Jean of Webster City; his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy (Doug) Kolbeck of Webster City. his son and daughter-in-law, Brenton Ilo (Melissa) Frakes of Waddell, AZ; two grandchildren, Misty and Jamie, and four great-grandchildren, Noah, Jenna, Cody and Casey. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John B. Frakes. Ilo was a member of the Church of Christ serving as a decon, elder and treasurer. He also was a member of the Webster City Noon Kiwanis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Church of Christ.
