Junella Ramona Ades, the daughter of Roy and Kathryn (Conkling) Kiesecker, was born on April 17, 1922, in Webster City. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Webster City High School in 1940. On April 19, 1946, June was united in marriage with Sam W. Ades in Des Moines. They lived in Webster City until 1955, moved to Ames until 1958, then to Fort Dodge for 2 ˝ years and then returned to Webster City, where they made their home. They owned and operated the Maid-Rite in Webster City for 5 years, then purchased the Gold Room in 1961 and the Dairy Queen in 1976. In 1991, they sold the business and retired. June was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Webster City – she enjoyed her church family and Saturday night services. She also enjoyed playing dominos, reading, bowling, knitting, sewing, being involved with her grandchildren's activities and loved watching Dancing with the Stars.
June passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013, at Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City, at the age of 91 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam on April 7, 2005; brothers, Eugene Kiesecker and Duane Kiesecker and sisters, Julia "Tiny" Olson, Joyce Hamer and Carrie Hoover. Survivors include her daughter, Pam Risetter and Jim of Webster City; son, Kevin Ades and Carla of Webster City; 5 grandchildren: Burke Risetter and Sarah of Webster City, Heather Stroner and Erik of Webster City, Ryan Risetter and Holly of Waterloo, Chad Ades and Janette of Indianola and Dan Ades and Jessica of Tampa, FL; six great-grandchildren: Brandon and fiancé Paige, Megan Risetter, Brady, Addison and Ben Risetter and Rylan Stroner and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Webster City with Pastors Mike Kroona and Kari Foss officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City. Visitation is Sunday, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
