Rhoda Christine Travis (Fuhr), the daughter of Andrew and Edith (Hanson) Fuhr was born December 7, 1928 near Thor Iowa in Humboldt County. She was baptized and confirmed in the Ullensvang Lutheran Church of Thor and was reared and educated in the area. Rhoda and Delmar Travis were united in marriage July 27, 1946. Four children were born into this union; Roger, Kathy, Debra, and Pamela. The family moved to a farm near Cambridge, MN, in 1959. Rhoda was employed at the Cambridge State Hospital for 10 years. They then owned and operated the Stark Store in rural Harris for 4 years and then owned and operated a poultry business near Stark for 4 years. Rhoda joined the staff at Green Acres Nursing Home where she was a part-time employee for 7 years. Rhoda was a member of the Fish Lake Lutheran Church near Stark, Minnesota.

She went to be with her Lord on November 8, 2013. She is survived by three daughters; Kathy Goldbloom of North Branch, Debra Eckman of Wyoming & Pamela (Mitch) Elling of Aitkin; Grandchildren Troy, Jeff (Annette), Scott, Jill, Dawn (Rocky),Jaime (Luke), Tara (Greg), Timothy, & Michael; Great-grandchildren Jared, Jacob, Ashley, Megan, MaKayla, Devin, Kaitlyn, Emily, & Brayden. She was preceded in death by her husband Delmar, mother and father, Edith & Andrew Fuhr, son Roger, grandsons Mark and Tyler, brother Kenneth, and sister Grace.
