Mrs. Lawrence Oldham Dies On 68th Birthday

Mrs. Lawrence (Leona E.) Oldham, 1708 Main, died this morning at 3:30 at Hadley Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Oldham, born Dec. 24 1896, passed away on her 68th birthday. She had been a patient at the hospital for the past three weeks. Born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Mrs. Oldham came to Ogallah, Kan. with her parents at an early age. She was married to Lawrence Oldham on May 19, 1919 in Salina. Mrs. Oldham is a former country school teacher of the Salina-Mc Cracken communities. She was a past state officer o: the Legion Auxiliary, a member o: the Royal Neighbors and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Beside her husband, Mrs. Oldham is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Jane Vogelpohl of Houston, Tex., and three grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body will lie in state from 7 p.m. tonight and until the hour of the service at Mall's Mortuary Chapel.
